What Is Glaucoma

Glaucoma is an eye disease it occurs mainly  in the older people. This is the disease in which optic nerve get affected. Optic nerve plays role in receiving electronic signals from brain through retina which we called our vision. In this disease affected glaucoma gradually results in the low vision problem.

This disease is becoming reason for the partial blindness in many cases.  This is curable disease with the help of medication and treatment. The problem in the treatment of this disease that it doesn’t show any symptoms in its early stages. That’s why it is becoming reason for the blindness for many people.

Causes of Glaucoma
Glaucoma deals with the elevated pressure in eye. Due to this elevated pressure optic nerve get damaged which lower downs the vision.  Due low blood supply in the optic nerve this pressure is generated.

Treatment for Glaucoma
Many medicines and eye drops like Bimatoprost are available in the market for the treatment of this disease if it is recognized in its early stage.  This liquid helps to reduce the pressure by regulating the blood supply in the optic nerve. It also helps to recover the problem of the poor eye sight.
